I would like to encourage each and every young adult to take a year after high school, during college, or after college to serve as a volunteer in a Catholic mission. The time you give to Our Lord is NOTHING compared to what He has already given to you. Furthermore, this time will bring healing and growth, strengthen God's gifts, and deepen your life with Him. It will also help you to discern the way of life He is calling you to follow and what you receive will strengthen you no matter what you will do with the rest of your life.

Please be open and LISTEN to God's voice daily by taking time to remain in silence and ask Him to reveal to your heart the path and vocation He has chosen for you. When He calls, do not fear. Remain in His peace and take time to remain before Him at least one hour a week in Adoration, seek opportunities to go to daily Mass, have recourse to frequent confession, and pray the Rosary and ask Our Lady to protect your calling.

Start taking the initial steps to find out where God is calling you... diocesan or religious, missionary or contemplative life... seek and you will find.
